The Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways inaugurated the corporate office of the country's first non-banking financial company (NBFC) for the maritime sector, 'Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited' (SMFCL), in New Delhi. By September 30, 2026, SMFCL has sanctioned financing of ₹11,563 crore and disbursed ₹5,107 crore, with a target of cumulative disbursements of ₹60,205 crore by the financial year 2031.केंद्रीय बंदरे, जहाजबांधणी आणि जलमार्ग मंत्र्यांनी नवी दिल्ली येथे देशातील पहिल्या सागरी क्षेत्रातील बिगर-बँकिंग वित्तीय कंपनीच्या (NBFC) म्हणजेच 'सागरमाला फायनान्स कॉर्पोरेशन लिमिटेड' (SMFCL) च्या कॉर्पोरेट कार्यालयाचे उद्घाटन केले. ३० सप्टेंबर २०२६ पर्यंत SMFCL ने ₹११,५६३ कोटींचे वित्तपुरवठा मंजूर करून ₹५,१०७ कोटी वितरित केले असून, आर्थिक वर्ष २०३१ पर्यंत ₹६०,२०५ कोटींच्या संचित वितरणाचे उद्दिष्ट ठेवले आहे.
